They came in just about every abbreviation known to the Jeep world.

YJ, TJ, CJ, JK, XJ, ZJ, WJ, LJ.

They came in black, yellow, green, red, orange, blue, white and silver vehicles – all brilliant splashes of color against the backdrop of a humdrum brown and gray parking area.

And they came, once again, by the hundreds to spend a fun June Sunday morning at Quadratec’s West Chester Pa. headquarters talking with friends, admiring some of the area’s best-looking rides, grabbing some refreshments, and helping out a great cause.

They call it Jeeps & Java.  But really you could call it whatever you want as the name doesn’t matter.  What does are the people who come.  Fantastic people and all fast friends - if you will - thanks to a shared love for an iconic vehicle with seven front grille slots.

Because of all this, Quadratec’s Jeeps & Java event has certainly achieved ‘calendar date-circled’ status each month for area Jeepers.

Even up against the popular Bantam Heritage Jeep Festival this month, which normally attracts all types of Jeep lovers to the western part of Pennsylvania, Quadratec’s Jeeps & Java had a record turnout Sunday.

“It’s a great thing to see, definitely, when all the Jeeps start rolling in,” says Quadratec’s Charlie Lodge.  “We weren’t exactly sure what to expect Sunday because of Bantam, but these guys, they are passionate about their vehicles – just like we are – and this all makes for a great time for everyone.”

“The way I look at it, it is not work at all.  I enjoy it just as much as the people who come out.”

No entrance fee is required to attend Jeeps & Java, nothing is required to buy, and all types of Jeeps are welcome; from stock to heavily modified, to everything in between.   In fact, the more stock Jeeps the better, Lodge says.

“If you look around, there are a lot of members from many great Jeep clubs who come out and support the event each month.  So if you have a stock Jeep, maybe something you just bought and you're not sure what to do with it, definitely come out for the experience and to talk with these guys.  They are great and really supportive.”

Everyone who attends Jeeps & Java receives raffle tickets for a chance at several prizes.  This month saw Factory Reproduction rims, a Quadratec Ammo can, Trailer Locks, Recovery straps and several Quadratec gift certificates as prizes.

Quadratec also accepts donations for The Michael Strange Foundation – Voices for Silent Heroes, with each donation helping to contribute to the healing process of family members who have lost a loved one during military service.

“The love and support shown by everyone toward the Michael Strange Foundation has been truly awesome,” says Quadratec’s Tony Innaurato.  “It is such an important thing.  I love looking around and seeing everyone by their Jeeps talking shop, but I’m also really happy to see people lined up at the table making donations to such a worthy cause.”

Next month’s Jeeps & Java is set for July 10th and Innaurato says to pay attention to Quadratec’s site over the next few weeks for more information.

“We are excited and already gearing up for what we hope will be a very fun July event.  We’re hoping to make it the biggest one yet.”
