Hello fellow Jeepers I would like to introduce myself and give you a little history on myself. My name is Ron “R2” Lind from Forest Hill Maryland. I have been wheeling on and off for about 23 years with my first Jeep a 1979 CJ7. Ever since then I have been hooked to our sport on the trail as well as modifying and upgrading my Jeeps along the way. I am an Auto Technician by trade so working on my Jeeps was just as fun to me as going out and enjoying the trails.
I then purchased my second Jeep, a 1987 Wrangler which I took to Camp Jeep with some friends. At Camp Jeep I had two trail guides that day, Bruce Shallis and Ron Lobb, and from there I Joined EC4x4E which they where members. Let’s just say it has been down-hill from there with my rock crawling habit.
A few years ago Bruce asked me if I would be interested in being the team mechanic for a rock crawling team he was involved with. Two years ago I joined Team Quadratec as the team mechanic. Coming into the 2009 season I had the opportunity to step into the driver set as our Pro Mod driver was taking a year off.
I am looking forward to a great 2009 “Rookie” year for myself and the Team Quad Pro Mod team.
