Reviews for Quadratec Q9000 Self Recovery Winch in Black
I just bought this. We will see what it can do. I am confident Quadratec is the right pick.
I've had mine for many years, and it's always been out in the weather. While it hasn't been used a lot, it has always worked when required and pulls well. Recently after pulling myself out of a mudhole, I thought it might be a good idea to tear it down and see what it looks like inside. To my surprise, no water or dirt in the gearbox or motor. The factory grease ain't great, but otherwise good to go after a repack and reassembly. The cable is adequate, but I did manage to kink and damage mine somehow. I'm still on the fence about it, but replaced with synthetic rope. It wasn't offered back when I got mine, but if you want synthetic rope the Q9000s is a steal. Bottom line - good winch at a really good price.
It payed for itself on the first time out. I was able to rescue a Gladiator from rolling down a hill. It was strong enough to pull a Gladiator up an extremely steep hill out of deep ruts. Didn't kill the battery on my YJ.
Installation on a YJ with the Quadratec winch plate is super easy.

A Q9000 Self Recovery Winch looks great on my jeep.
Winch is very well made, installation was easy.
Man I can’t say enough about this company. This winch is probably the fifth quadratec item I’ve ordered for my jeep instead of a more expensive brand and yet again it absolutely exceeded my expectations. I’ve basically completely redone my jeep with all quadratec products and i couldn’t be happier with how it’s performing and looks. And now I’m going to stop before I start sounding like I work for them, but yes great winch, highly recommend
