Description
Kilby Skid Plates offer the ultimate in tank protection. These skids are built from 3/16" thick steel plate that is laser cut, formed and welded together. By using stock mounting locations, installation time is kept to a minimum. The TJ Gas Tank SKid Plate allows 3/4" more shock clearance on the driver side while raising the fuel tank up another 1" for increased clearance! Sweet. 2003 and newer Wrangler will require 1" body lift or Kilbys Gas Tank Spacer Kit.
Details
The '76-'95 CJ & Wrangler Skid retains stock fuel tank position. All Kilby Gas Tank Skids feature built in departure angles and four drain holes. TJ Skids fit '97-'05 Wranglers without a body lift but '03 Wranglers wil require 1" body lift due or Kilbys Gas Tank Spacer Kit to model year changes. At 60 lbs each, these are no lightweights! Durable black powder coat finish will last and last.
