KS MiniSkids are essentially miniature skid plates for the lower suspension arm brackets on the front axle. The clever design spans the front of each bracket to create a boxed structure for increased strength and integrity.
When properly welded to the axle and OE brackets, our MiniSkids prevent damage and deformation, and provide much-needed protection of the caster adjustment bolts and suspension arm bushings.

MiniSkids are laser cut from thick 1/4" plate steel and folded for increased rigidity and proper clearance of the suspension arms. They are supplied in raw form and require painting following installation.
Product Overview
The lower suspension arm brackets on the front axle utilize cam bolts to adjust caster and pinion angle. Once damaged, it becomes virtually impossible for the vehicle to be aligned to factory specifications. Unfortunately, the brackets are extremely vulnerable to damage and frequently contact obstacles off-road, causing the thin-gauge metal to weaken and deform.
