Crown Automotive J8993023 Center Rearview Mirror for 69-01 Jeep CJ Series, Cherokee XJ & Wrangler YJ

Very pleased with this rear view mirror.

This product is a huge disappointment. Right out of the box there are at least 6 small paint chips on the black metal arm. There are also plastic shavings around the entire perimeter of the mirror frame. Mounting screw is not the same size as the original so I could not use the original screw and when attempting to use the new screw it is not long enough to reach the original stock mirror mounting plate which is already glued to my windshield. The housing of the mirror is not firmly mounted to the frame that attaches to the arm so it shakes and wobbles a bit which would be very frustrating when driving down the road. And lastly, the whole mirror is at least an inch wider than the original which is not ideal on such a small windshield. Terrible excuse for a replacement product.

It looks good in pictures, and crown is of a slightly better quality than omix ( both being made in China). Out of the box I sort of sighed, the mirror isn’t an exact reproduction, but close. The biggest disappointment was that the adjustment joints are just way to loose. I mounted it on the windshield, and plan to drive for a while to see how much it travels on its own. It’s just poor quality, at least the one that I received.
