Hard Top Reinforcing Kits
If you have ever removed the hardtop from your CJ-7 or '87-'95 Wrangler, then you've noticed the self-tapping screws along the front edge of the hardtop strip out after a while. This retaining kit secures effectively the front edge of a factory hardtop by replacing the 7 self-tapping screws. This kit substitutes a rugged, threaded backing strip with machine screws, fixing the problem easily and effectively. Includes everything you need including detailed easy to follow instructions! Once installed the kit does not need to be remove Switching from a hardtop to a soft-top is not a problem, the kit does not get i the way. The reinforcing strips are not visible from inside or outside when either a hardtop or soft-top is on.
