these hinges are a direct replacement for the factory ones, I had ordered a cheaper set before these but they were made very cheaply and first time I opened the tailgate the stop broke on one of them, I called customer service, explained what happened & they told me to send them back (they paid return shipping too) & I was credited the amount I spent and I got these and they worked great, cudos to customer service, this is my third jeep and I wont order from anyone other than QUADRATEC.
