Quadratec Custom Rear Dual Subwoofer Kit with 10" Kicker CompVR Subwoofers for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ & TJ

I purchased this to give my sound system a much needed mid and lower range improvement. I've removed my back seat and the box sits perfectly between a pair of metal L-straps I bolted to the existing seat mounting bolts. The fit is so tight, I didn't even need to secure the box to those straps. Regarding the sound quality, the box comes with the lower frequencies dialed in way too much for my taste. I adjusted the amp so that the speakers cover more of the mid range, but without losing the nice baseline, resulting in a sound that isn't drowned out by an obnoxious boom sound. I picked one of my preferred metal bands, and tuned the amp to compliment the sound. I still need to adjust the sound a bit depending on the music, but I fine tune that at the radios EQ controls. Lastly, I don't experience any overheating issues from the amp, but I only have it on when I feel like listening to music. The rest of the time I'm usually listening to talk radio, which is when I toggle the signal to the amp off. Its a convenient factory style toggle switch I've installed in my dash to turn the amp on and off whenever I like.
