The tailgate on your new JK Wranglers are quite thin, and thus have a hard time supporting extra weight without damage to the tailgate. Therefore, Warrior only rates your spare tire carrier with our spacer to hold a 33x12.50" or equivalent tire.
Now you can raise that rear light on your Jeep with this handy Rear Light Spacer Bracket. An ideal solution when adding a larger spare tire on your Jeep Wrangler, this product has the rugged durability you've come to expect from Warrior Products, and it's easy to install.
The displayed #1480 JK spacer, while shown in raw metal, is powder coated black and requires that you cut the existing unit in half, followed by drilling 4 small holes and mounting it together with the supplied screws and nuts. It is displayed in raw metal for visibility only.

Warrior Products Spare Tire Relocation Bracket & Third Brake Light Spacer Kit Reviews
The brake light extension bracket is a flawed design.
It only provides mounting points on the rear, but there should be sets top and bottom that come in from the sides.
With only the provided mounting locations, there is too much unsupported leverage and movent front to back, which eventually causes cracking of the factory brackets.
I had to completely remove the extension and epoxy the broken factory mount, then drill new holes coming in from the sides top and bottom, which doubled the amount of attachment points and provided the proper support.
