Corbeau Baja JP Suspension Seat
The Corbeau Baja JP Suspension Seat bolts directly into your CJ or YJ but will work in any other Jeep vehicle with custom Corbeau brackets. What makes this seat so good is the just the right amount of bolster to provide comfort, support & ease of getting out of your vehicle. The suspension system creates somewhat of a trampoline effect, which absorbs the impact your back would otherwise endure.
These aftermarket seats are not recommended in vehicles with seats equipped with factory airbag systems
Bolster Support: Moderate lateral support with well-defined thigh, kidney, and shoulder bolsters will allow both the driver and passenger to remain in the optimal seating position. The lower kidney bolsters make it easy to get in and out of your vehicle.
Harness Capability: This seat has harness slots for 3, 4 and 5-point harness capability. A submarine slot is already installed for a 5th strap.
Suspension System: The seat base is reinforced with nylon and inner laced with military grade suspension cords. For driving which encounters several impacts, like off-road driving, the suspension technology helps to absorb the energy at impact, keeping you and your back safe. In addition the suspension allows for a soft driving experience in an otherwise rough driving condition.
Fabric: Extra durable, automotive grade cloth and vinyl materials. Contains UV inhibitors. This seat has been extensively tested under extreme conditions and found to be colorfast.
Steel Frame: Extra strong, lightweight, powder-coated tubular steel frame.
Direct Bolt-In: The Baja JP Suspension Seat is a direct bolt-in to most Jeep® CJ5's and all CJ7's and YJ's. Note: Using with stock bracket your seat will be in an extreme reclined position and Corbeau ground up bracket will offer more comfort for most. It will bolt into any other vehicle with Corbeau custom direct bolt-in brackets

Corbeau Baja JP Suspension Seat Reviews
I just installed a couple of Corbeau Baja JP seats in my 1994 YJ.
I had heard comments that the seats were too reclined if you used the Jeep seat brackets and, to fix this, you had to install the Corbeau brackets.
My Jeep brackets were in great shape so I decided to try them before spending another three hundred on the Corbeau brackets.
The install was easy as the Corbeau seats had a bolt pattern to suit the Jeep bracket.
As far as the inclination was concerned, yes, it seemed a bit more than "normal" but about the same as my Jeep seats. I did go to my local hardware store and picked up some nylon spacers which were about 5/16" thick. These fitted perfectly under the back two bolts of the seat bracket.
Now that I've driven the Jeep a little I really like the seat position. And, as the whole idea of these seats is to protect your back, a slightly more reclined position would seem to help in that regard.
Seat are very comfortable but I have concerns about the shoulder harness slots. I'm only 5'10"-5'-11" and the harness slots are 2" below my shoulders . I've returned these and will try the wide version (which are actually taller) to see if they fit better.
