For single knob early TJ's see 17903.05 and for the later years with 3 knobs use 17903.20

So i see from another user's Q & A that this is a 4 speed switch. Can you confirm whether it's the correct switch for the models with AC? i have a 97 Wrangler Sport; 4.0 L with AC. Found several switches but they're all for the models without AC.
Yes. This is the blower speed control. It is for all applications. It is the left-most control that is the same for all platforms.

I can't seem to find one for a 2005
Unfortunately for the 05-06 TJ the blower control switch has only been serviced in the complete vacuum assembly. #55056558AB
