Crown Automotive Transmission Master Rebuild Kit Reviews
All the parts to rebuild my tranny in one package.
Some of the parts are " out of spec ". Same as noted by Josh, I could not get the counter shaft through the gear; when I took it apart I found the washer that sits on the needle rollers was too small - shaft would not go through.
The needles: I could only get 24 out of the 25 in. Lucky I bought a small rebuild kit that had another set of needle rollers - could get all 25 to fit.
The plastic spacers on the sides of the counter shaft and reverse idler are either too thick, or i had to cut down the unfinished edges to get them to fit.
Recommend: test fit everything before trying to assemble it in the gear housing - the frustration during the assembly is too frustrating.
Do better Crown!
Needle bearings are too large and the plastic keeps for the reverse idler are too wide. Had to reuse old pieces I had... The rest of the kit was great but I couldn't use half of what I paid for.
