Product Details

The new Amplified Road Thunder enclosures include an on-board, 200 watt, Class D amplifier. The highly efficient amp is optimized for use with the latest subwoofer technology, Road Thunder High-performance subwoofers, which come installed in the enclosure. You get deep, low bass without having to wire in a separate amplifier, and MTX’s Smart Engage™ circuitry eliminates the need to remove the factory head unit during most installs. These enclosures feature a proprietary woofer design utilizing a .35 ohms for a single woofer, .7 ohm in parallel for dual woofers. With the included EBC (External Bass Control), you can adjust the bass from the driver’s seat.

And our loudspeakers are specifically engineered for the enclosure you buy. They feature solid, high-performance subwoofers for maximum thunder. Each enclosure is covered with aviation grade carpeting to protect your vehicle's interior. The heavy-duty steel grilles protect the subwoofers and are as tough as nails. They have to be because when you are on the road, you don't want to worry about whether your enclosure can take what you give it.
