OMIX 17457.01 Timing Chain Cover for 72-93 Jeep Vehicles with 2.5/3.8/4.0/4.2L

I knew going into this that this part wouldn't be perfect, but it was a lot of work to get it ready.

The mating surfaces were rough, and in one spot not milled all the way down. It took me a while of sanding to get the surfaces smooth and ready for a gasket.

The second issue was that I couldn't get all four bolts in the bottom through the oil pan. Everything had to be loose, oil pan and timing cover, and I had to try multiple times to get the outer bolts in after getting the two inner ones in.

This was significantly cheaper than the next step up though, so I am fairly happy.
