Love this light bar and definitely worth the extra money.

After months of research and comparisons between different light bars, I decided to go with this 8-light array from KC Hilites. I've had these lights for about 8 months and I can't say enough great things about them. They are, by far, one of my most coveted additions to my jeep - probably in part because they came with such a hefty price tag, but also because I love the design and these lights are unbelievably bright. On paper, these lights out-perform every other LED light bar out there (except one RIGID E2 series bar that might be discontinued now), and these KC pods only have 2 LEDs per lamp - so that's 16 total LEDs in this entire light bar, and it's out-performing the hundred something LEDs in a traditional LED bar. Pretty impressive really, and much more efficient. Did I mention they have a 23 year warranty? In real life, the light output is pretty epic. They shine farther down the road than any light I've seen (and I grew up desert racing, in cars equipped for races like the Baja 1000). Also, the color temp is 5000K which is the purest white. The light bar comes with (4) Driving lamps in the center and (4) Wide-40 lamps (2 on each side). I will say that the Driving lamps perform much more like Spot lamps, although the Wide-40 pods compensate a bit and provide a good amount of spread light in front of the jeep. Both beam patterns are very horizontal though, so if you're expecting these to pick up what your headlights are lacking, think again. This light bar is best paired with KC's LED headlights and fog lights and/or a good set of Wide-40 pods mounted on the lower A-Pillar (bottom of windshield). One minor thing to consider if you're about to move forward with this LED bar is that they only offer one style of light cover - black with yellow lettering. This might work for some jeep colors, however yellow wasn't really the look i was going for so I painted these covers black. Since I purchased this kit, KC has recognized this issue and has recently offered a sticker template that you can download for free from their website. It's not the ideal solution, but if you really don't want the yellow (like me), you could go have some decals made up with whatever color you'd like, and it would give your lights a little custom pop. All in all, the lights look great and perform great. Would I make this purchase again? Absolutely. Thanks to Quadratec for great service and customer care.

Worth the money!! Lights up the darkness to daylight! A little induced noise at highway speed (think extra "wind" noise) but no whistle. Great product!
