This premium Optima D34/78 YellowTop Battery is designed for Jeeps running additional accessories. Having up to 3 times longer life and faster recharging. Providing the necessary power for all those additional lights, winch, retractable steps & upgraded stereo system. Also, they can be mounted in any position making them a great fitment for a dual battery tray where they can be mounted on their side.
The Jeep Wrangle YJ often used a Group 58 battery (Optima doesn't currently offer), but many YJ owners didn't like the smaller size and prefer the larger Group 34 Optima battery. The earlier 97-01 Jeep Wrangler TJ and 07-11 Jeep Wrangler JK also use this Group 34 battery along with many other Jeep applications.
