Description
Cracked manifolds allow exhaust fumes and combustion noise out of the system before hitting the muffler, which is bad for the environment and your Jeeps peaceful ride. The Omix Exhaust Manifold Kit is a bolt on replacement for the factory manifold and made to the factory standards. No modifications are needed and all emissions standards are maintained. Includes new gaskets but reuses factory mounting hardware.

    So far, so good. This is a bear of a job. Do your research and take your time. It is not something you want to do twice, but the reward of doing it is better throttle response and no more fumes. Sounds better, too. Very worth while chore. Hopefully, all I read about the bellows allowing the manifold to expand and contract without the cracking makes this a lifetime fix.

    Do Not buy these if you live in California. They are not CARB approved according to the 2 smog stations that have failed me due to the headers. I contacted Omix and they sent be an email saying they dont have a CARB number or OE number, good luck. Now I can't pass smog. I even asked Quadratic if they were California legal and they said yes. What a bunch of crap. Why would they sell something to California residents that's legal?

    What's the difference in this kit (17622.12) and the cheaper 17622.08 (Quadratec number 917622.08. Per fitment info both fit my 1997 Cherokee XJ.
    17622.12 comes with the collector gasket, 17622.08 does not come with the collector gasket
    My Cherokee is a 2000. In your description it says: up to 1999. Can I use your product?
    No 1999 was the last year of the distributor. 2000 they switched to coil packs.
    Does it make your jeep louder?
    No this is just a better design over the original. This is made from tube steel and has an expansion section to stop from thermal cracking like the factory style did.
