Keep your engine and transmission protect from costly trail damage with an engine skid plate. Nothing will end your day on the trail quicker than a rock shredding the bottom of your oil pan. While other broken and busted parts can be trail fixed enough to get you back home, there's not much you can do if you can't keep oil in your engine.
A key feature to look for in an engine skid plate, is access to the oil drain plug. While you want the most protection for your oil pan as possible, you don't want to be left having to completely remove the skid plate every time you have to do an oil change.
