As fun and exciting as off road driving can be when you are in a Jeep, one of the drawbacks is heat build up under the hood as slower speeds definitely can increase the heat because of limited ventilation.
So for many, modifying their Jeep hoods with either vents or louvers is an important addition designed to increase air flow and reduce that chance of an overheating engine. Most kits include templates and hardware for installation and do require some drilling into the hood to create airflow access. Louvers also add a great look and can be painted to either match your vehicle or customized how you want.
