Whether you have your eye on a set of Jeeps rims that do not have the correct lug pattern, or you need to add more tire clearance on your existing rims, purchasing wheel adapters and wheel spacers is a great way to go.

Wheel adapters will allow you to mount certain rims on your vehicle that normally would not fit - for example a 5x5 Wrangler JK rim on your 5x4.5 Wrangler TJ vehicle - letting you vastly expand the amount of available wheel choices. Wheel spacers are needed by those who wish to put larger tires on their stock wheels. These parts do just want they indicate - providing extra clearance (usually about 1.25 to 1.5 inches) to get those bigger tires installed.
