Reviews for Alpine PSS-23WRA Full Sound System Upgrade for 18-22 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Plug and play and great reviews without going nuts on a $5K plus system that I did not need; just wanted crisper and a bit louder
Great sound easy plug and play install with the video on Quadratec
Have it in other Jeeps and love it
Clean install and sounds so much better. Bass thumps and voices are so much more clear. Pricey, but worth it for sure.
Definitely a huge upgrade with the sound and the bass thumps! The installation was pretty straight forward with the instructions. Great buy!
I had some installation hiccups such as the front right side speaker and tweeter kept disconnecting after raising the volume, i reinstalled everything again and again hopefully to troubleshoot but the problem still was there, finally i went to a radio repair to figure it out and they told me because the cables were near the ground electric cable , they isolated the cables from the car floor and it worked fine, the improvement was very noticeable and was totally worth it.
Just installed this system and WOW what a day and night difference in my JT! Fairly easy to install. The installation video on Quadratec really helped. Much more power! Nice highs and lows now instead of ALL mid. Definitely worth it in my humble opinion.
For what it is this upgrade is great. Adds more to the highs and the bass gives it a good kick. It's not what you would get from a complete sound system over haul. However, for my 2 door JL with limited space, it's exactly what I needed for a little more sound. I installed my self with the help of the Quadratec install video. The video makes it a breeze. Had everything laid out, installed, and cleaned up in little over an hour. My only complaint would be the price, but I'm sure the particular engineering that was required to make this so plug and play and a fit perfect added to the price.
I had this system installed through an auto stereo installer on my 2018 4D JLU and they purchased it for me for the same price and charged me $150 to install. I'd probably buy direct if I did it again and maybe save the $90 in sales tax. Otherwise, this system ROCKS and is a total transformation to my factory system, the bass vibrates the whole Jeep. Plus the equalizer on the factory system allows you to place the sound right in the middle of the vehicle and the sound sounds great.
For me, this is the upgrade I was looking for, pricey but well worth it in my opinion. I don't even know it's there and they mounted the bass knob by my knee on the center console and not under the seat which is much better in my opinion. Go for it and you'll be impressed, and no this does not fit a 2 door JL.

Loved this...install was simple and easy, I ended up wiring from the driver side side cap to the top of the engin. There was enough cable. I did have trouble with getting the seat back, but just takes some effort. I have the 8.4 Mopar radio, wondering what everyone put for their settings on the amp? Expecting a little more base than what we have based on the instructions.
