DV8 Offroad Armor Fenders with Vents & Turn Signals Reviews
Front ones are installed and look great. The included turn signals give "turn signals out" error and need to be replaced with heavier duty ones that you can pick up at tractor supply for a couple of bucks. I had to make my own rivnut tool (YouTube) but then installation went okay with the inner fenders as well. However, the brackets for the rear fenders seem to be missing so now need to see if I can get those directly from the company I guess. So I am bummed that only the front ones are installed. Takes 2-3 people a couple of hours to remove and install.
The fenders look good as I expected them too. The time and skill levels are way off though because the supplied rivit nuts. A long nut and bolt are supplied to flare the rivit nuts the Jeep sheet metal is too thin to flare the nuts using what is supplied to flare the nuts. It was very hard to get the rivit nuts flared enough to tighten up in the hole. I ended up drilling three of them back out on the 2nd fender and using standard nuts and bolts. I went to NAPA and bought a flare tool for the nuts provided to install the rear fenders that made the installation much easier. No instructions came with the fenders either I had to go online to get them. The instructions are lacking a lot of detail I just had to figure it out and watch what I could on YouTube to get the instructions I needed.
Very disappointed in dv8. So these fenders look good, don't get me wrong.
But they started having rust spots just a few weeks after installing them. On top of the nightmare of an install with the rivnuts, the turn signals they sent are laughable.
The turn signals are garbage and came with tiny hobbyist wires that made wiring into the harness extremely difficult and not super secure. On top of that after a few weeks the plastic covers came off both my signals I guess in a heavy rain and fried the LEDs so now both my turn signals don't work.
Side note I also have the fender liners from DV8 that were made for these fenders specifically and the driver's side liner doesn't even come close to fitting, it was manufactured incorrectly.
