Quadratec Full Steel Door Outside Paddle Handle Reviews
I need one
Built better than the original. Easy job if you use these tips in addition to what is shown on the video.
1 Get the 12$ window crank tool.
2 Roll the window down to remove and reinstall the panel.
3. Take the door off and lay it flat on a table (with a blanket underneath) inside if it is cold or hot out. Trust me this makes it SO much easier and you are comfortable. You probably needed to clean up and lube your hinge pins anyway.
4. After you remove the gator pins, grind off the little tabs at the top, they are not needed and hit the window reinstalling them.
5. I drilled a 3/8" hole well below the window glass and just above the top of each gator clip location. It is under the vapor barrier and so are a bunch of other holes. Put a dab of silicone on it afterwards to keep it from rusting. The hole is so you can stick a screwdriver in it and press down on the gator clip to fully seat it. It makes it so easy.
Follow these tips and it will take you no more than 45 minutes on the first one, and 25 on the second.
Works as originally
