Description
This Omix Liftgate Support Strut for the Wrangler YJ is a sturdy replacement for the factory shock that has failed. New supports can reduce the risk of damage to the more expensive glass by keeping it closed while traveling so it does not bounce around and shatter. It also acts as a helping hand when you are dealing with cargo in the rear. Supports are sold individually but recommended that they be replaced in pairs to assure the charge in each shock is equal.

Where can I get the little ball mounts that the struts attach to?
Unfortunately the ball studs and brackets #55009992 are no longer supplied by Jeep or our aftermarket supplier network. You will have to locate them used.

Can I get the measurements of this strut? Length of tube, full extended length, closed length....?? Anything would be great.
The body of the strut is 13" long. When fully extended the shaft is 11" long.

Can you tell me if OMIX-ADA 12012.01 Liftgate Support Strut has the wire connectors on both ends to hook up the rear window defroster? The picture appears to have it on one end, but I cannot see if it is on both ends.
Yes this has the connectors on both ends.
