Flaming River Industries FR20005 30" Steering Column for 72-86 Jeep CJ-5, CJ-6, CJ-7 & CJ-8 Scrambler
Replace your worn out steering column with a fully wired & ready-to-install unit from Flaming River Industries. Each has the desirable tilt feature & includes stainless steel turn signal lever and hazard knob. Compatible with your existing steering wheel. Columns are available in paintable steel or polished stainless steel finishes. Also, a handy mounting clamp is available separately to facilitate the installation of your new steering column. Existing ignition switch will need to be relocated to the dashboard and will require a new lock & cylinder (sold separately).
Please Note: NOT compatible with the factory steering shaft. Requires a matching Flaming River Steering Shaft for Fitment

Did not fit
Utter JUNK. Not only is this overpriced but it is not compatible with any part of a cj5. It is a different od than the original shaft so you need to replace the mounting bracket (not mentioned in the description additional $150) the upper splines do not matchup with a CJ 5 steering wheel. The lower splines only match up with the flaming river shaft. The wiring harness? GM. The upper/dash mounting bracket doesn’t exist and there is no option other than fabricating one. Don’t waste your time there are better options out there. I’ve been buying from Quadratec for over 20 years and this was the first time I’ve felt lied to. This product is poorly described and really should not be in the catalogue to begin with. I ended up sending it back and buying a used column on line and a Borgeson shaft here. Also, flaming river tech support is condescending at best. Quadratecs support staff was very helpful with the return and told me that they have heard many such complaints about this product.
