Quadratec has a great selection of name brand winches for all vehicles, including Jeep Wrangler, CJ, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee.
Choosing a winch can be complicated, especially if you have to decide on Line Speed, Solenoid Mounting, Motor Types and Rated Line Pull. If your looking for a premium Winch we recommend the entire line of Warn Electric Winches. If you are looking for a balance between performance and value, we offer many brands such as Ramsey, Tabor, Superwinch and Mile Marker Winches.
If you are a little worried about installing one of these winches, don't worry! We have plenty of Installation Instructions available to you. No matter what type of winch you are looking for, Quadratec promises to meet or beat the current published price for any product. You will never have to worry about paying too much at Quadratec.

Rated Line Pull
This is the rated line pulling capacity that a single line can handle safely without the use of a snatch block or other devices. This is measured on level ground pulling dead weight (not rolling) from the the first layer of cable on the drum. We recommend selecting a winch that's at least 50% greater than your Gross Vehicle Weight. That's 1.5 times the GVW. Please note that recovery of heavier vehicles would require more line capacity.

Solenoid Mounting
Winches have either Integrated or Remote Solenoid packs. See the Diagram to the right for description of Solenoid packs.

Line Speed
This is the length of line that a winch can spool off and on it’s drum in one minute. Faster line speeds provide quicker winch pulls and may prove to be more beneficial for some. Generally, faster line speeds are found in more expensive winches. Faster winch line speeds can possibly increase the inherent dangers of winch usage. Always use extreme caution during a recovery!

Motor Type
In permanent magnet motors, the current drain on the battery tends to be lower than series wound motors (which uses field coils in the stator rather than magnets). Permanent magnet motors are better suited for light and medium duty winches. Winching time & load should be carefully monitored as they have the tendency to overheat. Series wound motors are heavier duty, and they tend to be more expensive.
