For the factory standard hardtop application the rack sits 7.75" above the top of the factory rain gutter and for the for the factory one touch power top option it sits 8.75" above the rain gutter. Made in the USA!

Garvin Adventure Full Rack Reviews
I purchase this rack and I love it... I am not sure why the first review says that he can not remove the freedom panels. I spend days with my panels off and I have this rack.
I also purchase the passenger and driver side ladders and the Awning mount kit to mount my Rhino Batwing awning. If the top review says that the rack squeaks, it is because he can take the freedom panels off. It is impossible to hear any squeaks from this rack. Very very strong, I bought it because I kayak fish, I have a Hobie Outback, and it holds up there like a champ. I love this rack, makes the truck super cool, and it attaches right to the chassis, not the roof. The roof only holds 150 lbs, this rack will hold 300 lbs moving, and 600 lbs standing still... Highly recommend it
Good quality, instruction are poor and had to use youtube for assistance but still happy to get a strong rack. Be aware there are different part numbers for 392, 4xE and JLU. Quadratec at the time of my purchase only shows the JLU part number and no verbiage about "Garvin 20094" only being for a JLU. I'm sure inn the near future it will be added. The mfg site will show them and I was able to go through Garvin to resolve my issue. good company,
Quality is great on the rack, but there are a few things that make it very difficult to recommend. The wind buffering is bad, and I've lost a noticeable amount of MPG after adding it. I called Garvin directly asking about a wind deflector, but they still hadn't been able to come up with one for the JL version. Also, it had a horrible squeak, every time I hit even a little bump, I went over every connection, over and over again. Finally I sprayed the back, lower attachments with WD-40 and that seems to have fixed it. Now, I just get a little bit of rattling on a really bumpy road. So over-all, it's a good quality product, but there are a few things they could have spent more time on, and I probably wouldn't buy it again.
