Great product! Using for about 5 month, no complaints so far!
They hold the phones out of the wat. Use them to hold other things besides phones.
Just downgraded from a 2011 Forester to a 2001 Cherokee, and couldn't be happier. EXCEPT, the Cherokee is sorely lacking in cubby holes and cup holders. This phone holder works perfectly for my phone, wallet and glasses, even with a passenger.
