Couldn't have been easier, the instructions were a 100% correct, installed this on a 05 wrangler. Could not use the mounting plate, no place to bolt it to but everything works perfect.

There appears to be a white, brown, yellow and green wire wired into the 4 pin trailer connector. What's the blue wire that's just hanging out of the loom not connected to anything?
In most standard trailer wiring harnesses, a blue wire is typically used for the electric trailer brake system.
Here are a few possibilities for why there might be a loose blue wire:
Your trailer doesn't have electric brakes: If you are towing a trailer without electric brakes, this wire would not be needed and would be left unconnected.
The harness is designed to be universal: The harness might be designed to work with trailers both with and without electric brakes. In cases where brakes aren't present, the wire would be left unused.
It's for a different auxiliary function: In some less common configurations, a blue wire could be used for other auxiliary functions on a trailer, such as reverse lights or a 12V power supply, but electric brakes are the most typical use.
Wiring error or specific to this harness: There's a small chance it could be a wiring error or a specific configuration for this particular harness.
