I bought a used jeep and it has this holder only thing is I’m missing the actual phone holder part. Is it possible to order replacement parts or do I need to spend $100 on the whole thing?

This phone mount came with a stamped rubber pad shaped like an elongated "X" with holes that is not shown anywhere in the installation instructions. Please advise what this is supposed to do
