I bought a used factory top for my jk and it just has the frame and top with windows. Is this set everything else I need for to install it. I have a hard top
Not sure. When you say it has the frame, this part is also part of the frame. So it's hard to tell if you have everything or not. We'd recommend you look at the exploded diagrams of the 2-door or 4-door soft tops here to ensure you have everything: 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Replacement Parts (scroll down to find the section on soft tops)

I have a Mastertop Wind Stopper Plus cab curtain without the hard ware. I am using the hardware from my previous soft top which is not working out too well with the Windstopper and curtain. I would like to buy this kit. But only install the vertical bar for the door surround. Can I just install the vertical piece from this kit and install it securely?
The entire door surround should be used for proper fit. The vertical bar on these surrounds will not attach to the Jeep without the horizontal part also used. Thanks for your inquiry.
