Ease of Install and no need to splice wires

Super easy to install and the plug and play wiring is great. My complaint is in the photo and one of the comments indicate the led's have a smoke covering. The item I received the led's are in a white plastic and it looks like a string of pearls. I think it definitely detracts from the quality and look of the unit but when the brakes go on, it looks fantastic.

Install only took about a half hour as I wanted to be careful with the connections. The connector that replaces the factory one had a small locking tab that came out but it still connected ok. You have to ensure you push the connectors in tight so you don’t run into intermittent connectivity, I also used electrical tape to make sure everything stayed secure. Works great and brings a nice look and added safety to the rear of the vehicle, now let’s just see how well it holds up to the New England winters, lol.

The LED ring has 5 missing LED's...I believe to align with wheels with 5 spokes.
My wheels are 6 spoke Fuel Beasts and those missing LED's do show no matter how you rotate it. I returned it and am dissapointed they eliminated 5 of them because it "looks" like the blanks ones showing are burnt out.

Looks like it was a poorly thought through cost reduction exercise ? Make the full 360' with LEDs and I'll be happy to purchase in the future.

Easy install but the y did not work w/ my 3rd brake light and we had to take it off.

I wish I would have looked closer at this brake light . It seems to be made well and looks great but after some offroad or just some sloppy highway driving and this 3rd brake light is very hard to clean . The problem is that each led light is exposed and impossible to clean even if you were to remove the spare tire and who wants to do that each time . The 3rd tire ring brake light that I replaced with this new one all the LED lights are enclosed and can be cleaned just by sliding your wash cloth between the wheel spokes and sliding it around the ring . This brake light was not very well figured out . With all that being said I have purchased quite a few items from Quadratec and have been very satisfied with everything else !
