description says these are meant to replace the turn signal lights - what do I do with the existing turn signal lights?

When installing the Oracle Lighting 5769-123 LED Projector Headlights, you have a choice regarding your existing factory turn signals. Because these headlights feature an integrated amber switchback turn signal, they can either supplement your existing lights or replace their function entirely.
Option 1: Run Both Simultaneously (Most Popular) Most Jeep owners choose to keep their factory grill-mounted turn signals active alongside the new headlight halos. To do this, you use T-Tap connectors or a Y-harness to splice the headlight's turn signal wire into the factory turn signal's "hot" wire. When you signal, both the headlight halo and the grill light will flash amber together.
Option 2: Use Headlights Only (Cleaner Look) If you want to eliminate the factory turn signal lights for a cleaner look (or if you have an aftermarket grill), you can disconnect the factory bulbs. However, if you simply unplug them, your Jeep will likely "hyper-flash" (blink very fast) because it thinks a bulb is out. To fix this, you must install a Load Equalizer / Resistor on each side to simulate the electrical load of the missing bulbs.

Is the lens glass or plastic? How will they weather?

It includes a hard-coated polycarbonate lens. These headlamps carry a 2 year warranty. Thanks for your inquiry.

I know these headlights are plug n play, will the halos go on as DRL? Or are they only on when the lights are on?

DRL could be activated by adding the required Y-splitter. See the following link.DRL Y=Splitter Thanks for your inquiry.

Hi,
The price $269.96 for Oracle Lighting 5769-123 LED Projector Headlights is for

These headlights are sold as a pair.

Can you run just the White halos without the Switchback Turn Signal Y Splitter Adapter?

Yes, if you don't want to use the halos as a switchback turn signal you can just ignore those wires. However, Oracle offers a light just like this with just a white halo (no turn signal) here: https://www.quadratec.com/p/oracle-lighting/high-powered-led-headlight-pair/white-halo-wrangler-cj-tj-jk

Will these "Oracle Lighting 5769-123 LED Projector Headlights with DRL and Turn Signal for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK" fit into a TJ, so i can use the Halo as a turn signal too?

These will mount to a TJ and are plug-and-play for the headlight. The halo DRL/turn signal will require cutting/splicing to work.

I'm seeing a few contradicting comments in the q&a and in the reviews regarding the Y harness. Are there two of the Y harnesses now being included with this head light kit for the turn signal function?

This would come with the plug and play headlight harness, the "y" splitter would be an additional cost and is available here

are these DOT approved. or street legal

Hi,
I'm not an expert when it comes to wiring. I thought the installation was only plug and play. But when you connect the headlight and the adapter and to the factory plug (2018 Willys JK) there is the black cable from the headlights left and that I don't know where it goes or if a Y adapter is needed to use that cable and to be able to use the halo.
Thanks.

If you want to wire that halo into the DRL and turn signal function you would need a "Y" harness, the link is below
