Reviews for Fishbone Offroad FB21098 Hawse Fairlead License Plate Mount
CA requires a front license plate. I have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 392 with a Warn winch. Although the description says it is for a Ram Durango, it works. It requires two sizes of torque screws/wrenches that are included in the Jeep tool kit. Loosening the screws and sliding the bracket behind the front plate takes some strength and leverage. It fits perfectly. I will upload photos of the screws that need to be loosened and the frame in place.
Quality
The final step in my 2022 JL front bumper (plus Warn winch, KC Hi-Lites, and other goodies) was to get my front license plate back on as it is required in the great State of Colorado.
I tried a handful of hawse fairlead license plate brackets only to be disappointed with no clearance for my winch hook. I entertained the relocation brackets as well, but I don't want to give up a shackle mount point and I found all of the brackets that put the license plate under the Hawse fairlead to be too flimsy and more importantly ripe for getting ripped off my rig when out off-roading.
The one that worked awesome for me was the beauty from Fishbone Offroad. Not only did it work right out of the box it looks awesome! And this has to be some of the best packing I have seen for shipping! I have posted some photos of my setup over on jlwranglerforums if you want to see the setup. Thank you Fishbone and Quadratech!
Easy to add to bumper
I like that it flips up to allow access to the winch cable
Works perfectly. Highly recommend this. Extremely easy to install.
Works perfect. The bracket was easy to install and does not require the fairlead to be completely removed. I just loosened up the fairlead bolts and slid the bracket behind the fairlead and tightened the bolts and I was done.
The bracket comes assembled and license plate bolts are included.
Flip up option for front license plate, which is a requirement in my state.
Not having to take the fairlead all the way off, easy install and flip!
Its in stock
