2018 4door JK but I have a Smittybilt roof rack on top. any reason this would not work? it looks like it would I just might have to feed the forward straps through the roof rack but not sure.
As long as the rack does not interfere with the hoist a cart mounting points, it should be okay. The top should not be hoisted onto the cart using the rack as an attachment point. Thanks for your inquiry.
Just bought a JL last night. Its just my wife and I so I am looking a at this lift. when the top is resting on the lift in a "stored" position, what is the height?
It can extend to 8-1/2 feet and is about 74 inches tall in the "storage" configuration. Thank you for the question.

This ships in two boxes. 1) 61 lbs. 32x12x10". 2) 61 lbs. 32x13x10".
I have JLUR with Rhino rack backbone. Is that too much weight for this product?
This has a weight capacity of 200-lbs. The factory JLU hardtop is approx. 140-lbs. The Backbone rack is between 47-lbs and 95-lbs so it depends which Backbone rack setup you have.
