Excellent quality product if you need to install a camera extension to your spare tire mount. I ordered thinking that I could just replace the camera wiring with this product. But when I looked at the part through the zip lock I realized I couldn’t cause it didn’t have the connection I needed to do so. I had to have the complete third brake light wiring to repair the camera wire I cut when installing a rear tire delete kit on my jeep.

Ok, here's the facts,
For Jeep owners that have cut/broken their rear back up camera coax wire /cable.
This is also a replacement cable for your camera wire .Since the wire is a coax style just splicing it back together is really not possible unless you have the expertise of doing that style of repair. To replace the existing wire remove the backup camera from its mount {3 small torx screws}.And then remove pink connector from camera. Then remove inner panel on tailgate, unclip white wire connector for camera. you will need to carefully slice rubber boot that goes thru tailgate to remove broken wire and replace with new wire, Use electrical tape around rubber boot as best that is possible. Connect this new wire {white} onto connector inside tailgate and other end {pink} onto camera. reinstall all back to stock configuration. Clock rubber wire boot with slice down to help with any moisture issues. I had do do this Mod because I accidently broke the wire installing a Warn Elite Rear bumper and Tire Carrier. The tire carrier pivots away from tailgate and stretched wire to much and it broke. So if your wire is broke this part works fine, and not needing to buy a complete Mopar wire harness. This fix worked on my 2021 Jeep JL Unlimited Sport 4 Door. Even thou the part states that it is for up to 2020. this worked perfect on a 2021 Model Jeep.

Cable is 1 foot longer than the factory installed cable. It clips into the connection inside the tailgate. It is not an extension of the existing wire, you will need to replace it using this cable. It will not fit through the factory installed rubber boot. However you can carefully split the boot with a razor blade and reinstall it with little to no issue. It does not come with a wire loom you will need to add your own. Worked fine on my 2021 JLU with my WJ2 Westin tire carrier mount i now have the correct length of cable to use my camera.

I have nothing bad to say about the wire. It does not however fit my 2021 JL Rubicon. They changed the wire key on the camera end so this wire does not work for me. The description says 18-21 model years but that does not seem to be the case. I sent Quadratec a picture of the change.
