Reviews for Carnivore Tube Doors for 18-25 Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT
Nice doors. Tried both these and a set from Extreme. The latch system is better on the Quadratec, the lines fit the Wrangler better (and for me the tubes match existing gear I already had on), I like that they use factory style hinges and they don't rattle on normal driving. Large bumps will rattle them. I have the 4 door and 3 of the 4 went on with no fit issues. The 4th which was the rear driver's side barely fit in the door opening which then made the latch system not close correctly. I measured the length of the door from left to right and it was actually a 1/4 inch longer than the other rear door. Called Quadratec and they shipped a new one which I got in 3 days, which went on in 5 minutes and fit perfectly. Boxed back up the bad one and returned in the box set they just shipped me. Giving only 4 stars because they are solid doors, but the mirrors still shake when driving so I plan to mod and add some support to stiffen that area from the top hinge to the top of the door where the mirror attaches. Also 4 stars because the door stops that are on the front doors are not even long enough to touch the frame to do their job to hold the door tight, so I added length to the rubber stop and works fine now. All in all I like the doors and would recommend them.
Great looking tube doors. However the rubber stoppers are not even close to touching the door jam. Doors rattle pretty good. Need to DIY something to help.
I bought a rear set because my wife and I have a fear of our 13 year old autistic daughter flying out of the Jeep with the doors off. I’ve search through a number of these tube door designs and these seems like it has the cross bars in the right place to minimize things falling out.
I also thought this flush mounted with the lines of the Jeep Gladiator. I was wrong…they only maintain the lines on the Wrangler. The back tub of the Gladiator is about 2-3 inches taller.
The workmanship of these units is Average at best. I have thin welds or missing welds on both doors. The paint job is also average. I have a spot our two missing paint. Guaranteed to rust.
You will need some patience to make the final alignments to make sure these tube doors fit flush. I gave up after about 30 minutes because I’m good with “close enough.” Someone with OCD might not be able to take it!
Overall, the price was right and the look was what I was going for. I’m probably at 3.5 stars on this due to quality.
Finish and quality of the door seems to be very good. The rear hinge pins seemed a bit too big and were a pain to get in. Overall they look great and happy I made this choice..
Awesome Doors - wish they came with a mirror though…got to pay extra for that.
Doors look great. A little rattle in the front doors that I can't seem to adjust, but not too bad. Quadratec label is on the outside of rear doors despite information stating the label is on the inside.
The door hangers in the garage are very good.
They look great and were easy to install. I did have some issues when the boxes came. They were very beat up, but the doors were in good shape and only had minor scratches. One of the doors did not have the correct latch, but the Quadratec team got me a replacement very quickly. I had to make some minor adjustments to have them close properly, but it was not difficult. My only real issue with the doors is the anti rattle rubber pieces. They are very tiny and only adjust so far. I was able to fix it pretty cheaply by replacing them with larger rubber stoppers. That did the trick and there is no rattle at all. Also, expect to spend another 85-100 bucks on rear view mirrors. They do not come with them and they are on back order. It was a little bit of a let down.
These doors should be a five star easily. The are by far the best looking doors on a jeep. the reason I am giving 4 stars is because i believe the craftsmanship should be better. I received my doors 2 days ago. the driver side door was banged up. I had to unbend it and its not perfect but it will pass. the packaging needs to be a bit better on the edges. I seen another review with the same. The welding job on the inside of the latches of my doors seemed poorly done. the doors stuck out when I put them on. I was gonna return them but the anxiety in me told me that i could make them work and I did. I added spacers at the bottom of ever latch to push the bottoms in that stuck out and it worked. You can't tell that the latches have gaps and they look great so I am keeping them. Looks its a 11 out of 10. I just feel like there's room for improvement on the craftsmanship. I happy with my purchase just upset that I had to rig them to make them fit.
Received these for fathers day and they look great. Easy to install and worth the money. Unfortunately we ordered only the fronts as did not want to lay out $800 in one go. To bad you cant buy the rears separately.
The tube doors looks nice, but they don’t fit the way they do in the video and pictures nor do they look the same. In the video, the tacky logo is on the inside. In reality, it’s stamped on the outside of all four doors. The latches rattle, the bump stop doesn’t reach the door frame to help, the latch mechanism that’s “adjustable” doesn’t adjust in the right direction so the doors (especially the rear doors) stick out about a half inch rather than inline. I complained and they sent me a new set; same thing. Identical. The inside of the door is hollow so it looks sturdy outside but is pretty flimsy when it’s touched or leaned on. Really not thrilled with these but they look better than others on the market. I just wish their descriptions (especially that new video) were accurate.
