What is the depth of the bumper not including the hitch? I'm wondering if my spare will hit it. I currently have a similar looking smittybilt bumper and it hits. Thanks

While we don't have an exact measurement of the bumper's depth independent of the built-in hitch receiver, the TACTIK Classic Rear Bumper with D-Rings is built with a low-profile design very similar to standard tube-and-plate style bumpers.
Because your current Smittybilt bumper causes your spare tire to rub against the top plate, you may still run into clearance issues depending on your tire width, wheel backspacing, and where your spare currently sits. If you are experiencing interference, pairing a new bumper with an adjustable spare tire mount or a tire relocation bracket is usually the most effective way to gain that extra clearance.

Will a 32" tire on the back interfere with the hitch?

No, a 32" spare tire mounted in the factory location will not interfere with the integrated receiver hitch or accessories on the TACTIK TJRBTB-001 Classic Rear Bumper with D-Rings for 87-06 Jeep Wrangler YJ, TJ, & TJ Unlimited. The bumper is designed to maintain proper clearance for up to a standard 32" tire on Wrangler TJ and YJ models without blocking the 2" hitch receiver.

Do I need to remove the fuel tank to completely install this rear bumper?

No, you do not need to remove your fuel tank to install the TACTIK Classic Rear Bumper. The installation is designed to be a direct bolt-on process using your Jeep's existing frame mounting points.

What is the hitch rating?

It is not tow rated. The receivers use should be limited to hitch mounted cargo racks, bike racks, and accessories only. Thanks for your inquiry.
