The photos do not appear specific for the option selected. Is the JL version longer than the JK? I have a 2018 JK Rubicon. What are the dimensions, especially the added height once installed?

Can this rack be mounted a on jeep JL with sky one touch retractable roof or is there one that can clear it?
No, the DV8 Offroad RRJL-01 Roof Rack is not compatible with the Jeep Sky One-Touch (SOT) retractable roof. This specific rack is a low-profile system designed to mount directly to the factory rain gutters of a standard hardtop; the SOT roof mechanism sits too high and requires much taller mounting legs to function properly.
If you attempt to mount this rack on an SOT-equipped Jeep, you will be unable to open the retractable top, and the rack may physically interfere with the roof's side rails.
To clear the SOT roof while it is in operation, you need a specialized "exoskeleton" or high-clearance rack.

Will a Thule cargo unit fit on top of this rack? It looks, from the pictures, the internal bars are a little lower than the outer frame?
This is a basket style rack and not a platform style. A cargo carrier would only sit flat on this rack if it could stay within the walls of the basket.

How much does this weigh assembled? I want something I can put on and take off myself. I have a hoist system to help. Just trying to gauge how easy it is to put on and take off as I run a soft top in the summer.
Approximately 60 lbs. Please just keep in mind that it your hoist is a hardtop hoist, the manufacturers would not suggest hoisting a top off of the Jeep with your rack still attached. They state that rack's should be removed prior to using a hard top hoist. At least in the case of Lange originals and other brands that we offer. Thanks for you inquiry.
