For the GPEC5 is there anything that I could to install the supercharger magnuson?

The Magnuson supercharger kit, part number 01-19-36-003-BL, is designed for the 2018-2021 Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT models with the 3.6L V6 engine (non-eTorque). These model years typically used a GPEC2A or GPEC2B Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The primary challenge in installing this supercharger on a vehicle with a GPEC5 PCM (found in some 2021 and all 2022+ models) is the PCM's security and the ability to tune it. The supercharger requires a specific engine calibration (tune) to function correctly and safely with the increased airflow and boost.
As of my last update in April 2025, here's what you would need to do to install this Magnuson supercharger on a vehicle with a GPEC5 PCM:
PCM Unlock and Tuning Solution: The most crucial step is to have the GPEC5 PCM unlocked and a custom tune developed for your specific vehicle with the Magnuson supercharger.
HP Tuners: As of early 2025, HP Tuners has announced support for unlocking and tuning select GPEC5 PCMs, including those in the 2022-2024 Jeep Wrangler 3.6L and 2021-2024 Jeep Gladiator 3.6L. This service typically involves sending your PCM to HP Tuners for a one-time upgrade. You will also need an HP Tuners MPVI3 interface and credits to license and tune the PCM.
Other Tuning Solutions: Keep an eye on other aftermarket tuning companies, as they may also be developing solutions for the GPEC5 PCM.
Magnuson Calibration: Some sources indicate that Magnuson works with HP Tuners to provide calibration files with their kits for supported vehicles. It's essential to confirm with Magnuson if they offer a tuning solution or a base calibration for GPEC5-equipped vehicles.
Verify GPEC5 Compatibility: Even if a tuning solution exists, double-check the specific build date of your 2021 vehicle. Some 2021 models still used the older, more easily tunable PCMs. The GPEC5 was generally introduced in vehicles built from August 2021 onwards. You can usually find the build date on a sticker inside the driver's side doorjamb.
Professional Installation and Tuning: Given the complexities of supercharger installation and the critical need for proper tuning on a GPEC5-equipped vehicle, it is highly recommended to have the installation and tuning performed by a reputable shop experienced with Jeep modifications and forced induction. They will have the necessary tools, knowledge, and software to handle the PCM unlock and custom tuning process.
Hardware Installation: The physical installation of the Magnuson supercharger kit itself should be similar to the non-GPEC5 models, as the engine hardware remains the same for the 3.6L V6 during those years. The kit typically includes all the necessary hardware, such as the supercharger unit, intake manifold, intercooler, fuel injectors, and mounting brackets.
In summary, to install the Magnuson 01-19-36-003-BL supercharger on a GPEC5-equipped Jeep, you will primarily need a viable solution for unlocking and tuning the PCM. As of April 2025, HP Tuners offers this service for certain GPEC5-equipped Jeep models. It is crucial to verify compatibility with your specific vehicle's build date and to have the installation and tuning done by experienced professionals.

Are these helical gears in the unit?

Based on the available information, the Magnuson 01-19-36-003-BL is a supercharger kit for specific Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models with a 3.6L V6 engine.
The product description mentions that this kit uses a TVS1900 supercharger. TVS stands for "Twin Vortices Series," which is a type of Roots-type supercharger.
Roots-type superchargers do not use helical gears for their primary compression mechanism. Instead, they typically use meshing rotors with multiple lobes that trap and move air. The rotors can have a helical shape to improve efficiency and reduce noise, but they are not gears in the traditional sense of transmitting rotational motion between shafts with meshing teeth.
Therefore, while the supercharger unit itself might contain various gears for its internal operation (like timing gears for the rotors), the Magnuson 01-19-36-003-BL supercharger kit does not primarily rely on external helical gears for its main function of compressing air.

Is this system compatible with a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon?

Yes, this will be compatible.
Not compatible with GPEC5 computers. Gladiators and Wranglers with build dates starting in August of 2021 started using this PCM. Build dates can be found on the sticker on the inside of the driver's door.

Will it work on 2020 gladiator rubicon

Yes, it will.

Will this product work on a manual 3.6L 2022 Wrangler Rubicon. I have been reading that the tune for the SC does not work on the 2022 model but it is offered on your website.
thanks

What size supercharger in liters? What is the boost level set to? Is there an extra fee to turn in PCM for tuning?

Size of the TVS1900 is 1.9L and set to 6-7lbs. of boost. Only the shipping and handling cost associated with sending your PCM in for tuning to be done. Thanks for your inquiry.
