Why doesn't it fit a 2026 model?
The Bestop Trektop Halftop for the 18–23 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited will not fit a 2026 model due to major structural and safety updates introduced during Jeep’s 2024 mid-cycle refresh.
The primary reasons for the incompatibility include:
Roll Bar Side-Curtain Airbags: Starting in 2024, Jeep introduced standard side-curtain airbags integrated directly into the sport bar (roll cage) structure.
Altered Geometry and Padding: To accommodate the new airbag deployment zones, Jeep modified the thickness, shape, and overall padding dimensions of the roll bars.
Different Mounting Points: The door rails, windshield header connections, and bracket attachment points changed to clear the updated safety components.
Using an 18–23 top on a 2026 model would result in improper fitment, mismatched hardware alignment, and dangerous interference with the vehicle's airbag deployment system.

Can the side doors be removed while the top is on? Or does the top need to be removed to take them off?

Does this top allow for a full top off option?
No, you'd have to remove the top and back window get the Jeep topless.

Is there any way to get tinted windows?
All windows are DOT approved 40 mil vinyl and are 18% tinted.

When you select the complete top option, yes it does. The version for existing Trek top will require you to have the framework pieces from a Trek top for mounting. Thanks for your inquiry.
