Are the tinted versions DOT-approved?

Yes, both the standard red and tinted versions of the Oracle Lighting V2 Flush Mount LED Tail Lights are officially DOT and SAE compliant for all legal lighting functions (brake, turn signal, running light, and reverse).

I have the Oracle Lighting 5882-504 Flush Mount LED Tail Lights for 20-24 Jeep Gladiator JT. I am getting my car inspected and for some reason the left rear reverse light is out. How do I fix this?

Because these are sealed LED units, individual bulbs cannot be replaced. First, check the plug-and-play wiring connection behind the taillight to ensure it is fully seated and corrosion-free. If the connection is secure and power is reaching the harness but the reverse emitter itself remains out, the assembly will need to be replaced under warranty.

I don't have LED from the factory. Does this set come with the resistor for the conversion?

Yes, the Oracle Lighting V2 Flush Mount LED Tail Lights come with built-in load resistors or plug-and-play modules specifically designed for halogen-to-LED conversions. This ensures proper electrical resistance so you won't experience hyper-flashing or dashboard error codes, even if your Gladiator came with factory halogen tail lights.

is the resistor still needed if you change the halogen/led settings with the tazer?

No, if you use a programmer change your vehicle's lighting settings to "LED," you do not need to install the load resistors that come with the Oracle Flush Mount LED Tail Lights.
The resistors are included to simulate the electrical "load" of a halogen bulb, which prevents the Jeep's computer from thinking a bulb is out (causing hyperflash or error messages). By using a programmer to update the vehicle's internal configuration to "LED mode," you are telling the computer to expect the lower voltage draw of LEDs, effectively solving the problem digitally rather than with hardware.

Do you have to replace the whole tail light assembly if the LEDs quit working? I have a set and one side has become dimmer than the other.

If the LEDs in your Oracle Lighting 5882-504 tail light assembly stop working, you'll need to replace the entire assembly. If it's within the warranty period contact Oracle Lighting's support is the best first step to determine the specific course of action.
