are these fenders the same width as the stock ones?
No. These are wider than stock fenders. These flares measure 12" in the front & 8" in the rear. They provide much more coverage for a wider, oversized tire.

Are there any non-raw inserts that will go with these?

Do these fit both the 4 door jl aswell as the 2 door jl as far as the rear fender flare goes?
