I can select an option with soft and hard top on yet another question says it must be removed. Which is it? I want to leave my soft top on and cover the cab to protect the fabric and windows.
To clear up the confusion between those conflicting descriptions:

Soft Top Removal Requirement: You cannot leave your factory soft top fully up and intact under this specific cab cover. MasterTop cab covers are engineered to fit tightly over the exposed sport bars and windshield frame with either the hardtop completely removed or the soft top completely folded down (or removed along with its hardware).

Protecting Fabric and Windows: Because standard cab covers are tightly contoured to the bare sport bar structure, attempting to stretch one over an upright, erected soft top will not fit properly and can stretch or tear the cover. If you want to protect your erected soft top fabric and windows while parked, you would instead need a full vehicle cover (like a full-length garage/outdoor cover) rather than a cab-only cover.
I have a Bestop Trektop Ultra on a '26 JL. Which should I order for having the doors off and windows removed, but having the top up in place?
Cab covers are specifically designed for a completely naked tub (no top at all).
what is the inner material - will it scratch the paint?
The soft fleece lining is designed to protect paint and windows from abrasion.

It's about 9lbs. They are very easy and quick to install with just one person.
Will this fit a 2024 premium soft top either folded down or up? If i get the option with top up, will it still fit folded down?
This is designed to be used with the top removed. It fits snugly on the vehicle. You likely with struggle for fitment with the soft top folded back.
Will it fit over a fastback soft top? Also how secure is it on windy days or if it is on while being trailered?
It would fit over the fastback. On windy days, I would suggest making sure all the tabs are pulled tight, and it will do phenomenal.

Does this cab cover fit on a 2022 JLU with the hardtop on? I have the one touch retractable soft top and like to go with my doors off as much as possible but want something that can quickly go on for those over night showers or in a pinch.

In your opinion, which version would be best for a fast/slant back version with too left on or off? I think this top would allow for my light bar?
You will need to remove the soft top windows at a minimum to use this cover. The back attaches to the tub rail channels. These do not fit with windshield lights bars as the are a custom fit to the Jeep and provide no additional fabric to allow for a light bar.
If I bought the top for a 2023 Willys and I got the top folded back option, how durable is it? Like will it withstand a good rain fall or is it just for protection?
