will i also need track bars and control arms?

No, you will not strictly need new track bars or control arms to install the Quadratec Maximum Duty 2.5 Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit for 20-26 Jeep Gladiator JT. They are, however, an upgrade many owners choose to do for various reasons.
Why You Can Skip Them Initially:
Included Components: This is a comprehensive kit that already includes everything required for the 2.5-inch height change—such as longer dual-rate coil springs, matching shock absorbers, extended sway bar links, and bump stops to correct suspension geometry safely.
Mild Lift Geometry: At 2.5 inches of lift on a Gladiator JT, your factory control arms and track bars will keep the axles within an acceptable operating range without causing extreme steering bind or unsafe handling.
Optional Upgrades to Consider:
Front Track Bar: While not required, a front adjustable track bar can help perfectly re-center your front axle side-to-side (as a lift shifts the axle slightly toward the driver's side due to the fixed track bar length).
Control Arms / Geometry Brackets: Upgrading to adjustable control arms or adding geometry correction brackets isn't mandatory at 2.5 inches, but some drivers add them later to fine-tune caster angles and restore a factory-like highway steering feel.

do i have to replace the shocks or can i keep the factory rubicon shocks?

Yes, you must replace your factory shocks when installing a 2.5-inch suspension lift.
The Problem with Factory Length: Even though factory Rubicon models come with high-performance monotube shocks, they are physically too short to accommodate a true 2.5-inch lift. If you reuse them, the shocks will act as severe limiting straps, topping out prematurely whenever the suspension drops (such as over bumps or during off-road articulation). This causes harsh impacts, ruins your ride quality, and can quickly damage the internal components of the shocks.
Matched System Design: The Quadratec Maximum Duty 2.5 Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit for 20-26 Jeep Gladiator JT is engineered as a complete, harmonious system. It includes custom-length front and rear shock absorbers that are specifically valved and sized to match the extended travel and drop of the new dual-rate coil springs, ensuring proper ride comfort and full off-road articulation.

Will this system work with stock front drive shaft

Yes, the Quadratec Maximum Duty 2.5" Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit is designed to work with your stock front drive shaft on the Jeep Gladiator JT. At a 2.5-inch lift height, the change in driveline geometry is generally within the operating limits of the factory equipment for most driving conditions.

Fit 2021 Mojave? Nitro Shocks.

The Quadratec Maximum Duty 2.5" Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit is generally not compatible with the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave.
While the kit is designed for the standard Gladiator JT chassis, the Mojave edition features a unique suspension setup—specifically reinforced frames, different axle-side shock mounts, and factory-equipped FOX 2.5" Internal Bypass shocks with external reservoirs. Installing a standard kit with Nitro shocks would require you to discard these high-performance factory shocks, which are a primary selling point of the Mojave. Additionally, many standard JT lift kits do not account for the Mojave's specific shock mounting diameters and hydraulic jounce bumpers.
Recommended Options for Mojave
If you are looking to lift your 2021 Mojave, it is highly recommended to use a Mojave-specific kit that retains your factory FOX shocks through the use of shock extensions:
AEV N0921010AA 2in Spacer Lift for 20-26 Jeep Gladiator JT Mojave: This is a popular "budget-friendly" way to gain height while keeping the factory ride quality. It uses spacers on top of the factory springs and includes necessary extensions for the FOX shocks.
ReadyLIFT 4" Mojave Terrain Flex Lift: A more comprehensive option designed specifically for the Mojave to maintain full use of the hydraulic jounce bumpers and bypass shocks at a higher lift height. (Special order item - 69-6043 - Call Customer Service at 1-800-745-2348)

Do I need new control arms with this lift to maintain proper suspension geometry for a Sport S?

We recommend that any lifted vehicle, regardless of lift brand or lift height, switch to adjustable control arms so that a proper alignment can be performed.

Will the electronic sway bar disconnect on the Rubicon still work with this kit?

Yes, it will still work. You will want to select the Rubicon trim package from the product options before adding the item to your cart.

Is this kit compatible with a Rubicon diesel or would different front springs be necessary?

No, this kit isn't rated for the extra weight of the diesel models.
Peter S.
What is the spring rate? Are they stronger or the same as stock?

Sport Front: RATE 1: 93 LBS/IN --- RATE 2: 142 LBS/IN (TRANSITION Rate Change occurs at 16.13")
Rubicon: RATE 1: 110 LBS/IN --- RATE 2: 165 LBS/IN (TRANSITION Rate Change occurs at 15.13")

iS there a warranty on the shocks? Also, which would ride better, Hydro 7.0 or Nitro 8.0?

Shocks carry a one year warranty. For most daily purposes the Hydro will be more a more comfortable ride. When using your Jeep in more varied terrain, the Nitro will provide a responsiveness and firmer feel and will be less likely to fade if under a lot of cycle duress from more extreme off-road conditions. Thanks for your inquiry.

Does this kit level as well? Or is it equal lift for front and rear, keeping the rake?

This lift raises the front 2.5” & rear about 1.5” so this takes out 1” of OE rake. Will still be about 1-1.5” high in rear. OE is about 2.5” high in rear so takes about 1” rake out of rear. Thanks for your inquiry.
