Cj-7 dash speakers are an extremely tight fit and the space only allows for a certain thickness. Have these speakers been shown to fit that space on an original CJ dash?
No, these speakers are not designed or shown to fit an original CJ-7 dash.
The Quadratec JBL Club Series Plug and Play Premium Sound Bar Speaker Upgrade is specifically engineered as a drop-in component upgrade for 2018–2023 Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT overhead sound bars using custom-molded adapter brackets.
Because original CJ-7 dash panels have very shallow mounting depths and restrictive cutouts—typically designed for older factory dual-cone or compact speakers—a modern 6.5-inch aftermarket speaker with a deep magnet structure and bulky adapter plates will not clear the tight physical space behind a classic CJ dash without significant custom fabrication or cutting.

This is a JBL 625SQ Club series speaker and has a nominal impedance of 3ohms. Thank you for the question.
