I understand that these are plug and play but they are still an upgrade from factory. With that being said is there any need to upgrade any wiring to get maximum output. I only ask as this was something that was brought up by an installer.

No, there is no need to upgrade any factory wiring to get maximum output from these speakers.

Is there anything i can do to prevent my factory stereo from overheating while these speakers are plugged in? When the volume is up more than half way i only get about 5 minutes of good performance before the stereo overheats and shuts off. Had to switch back to stock speakers until i figure it out

To prevent the factory stereo from overheating while driving these high-efficiency speakers at higher volumes, you have a few solid options available on Quadratec:
Add an External Amplifier: Installing a compact aftermarket amplifier (like a Kicker Key) relieves the factory head unit of its amplification duties. Moving the power delivery and heat dissipation externally lets your factory stereo run cool, even when you crank the volume past the halfway mark.
Upgrade to a Complete Audio System: If you want sustained, high-volume performance without taxing the dash, a dedicated package like the Alpine PSS-24WRA Complete Sound System Upgrade includes a dedicated power amplifier and processor designed to drive aftermarket speakers efficiently.
Adjust Source vs. Head Unit Volume: If you prefer to keep the setup as-is without adding an amp, keep your Jeep's head unit volume under the halfway mark to prevent the internal protection circuit from tripping, and use your connected phone or media device's output volume to fine-tune your listening level.

Does it fit in my jeep wrangler 2025 jl? It came with the factory speakers

No, this specific 18–23 kit will not fit your 2025 Jeep Wrangler JL.
Following the interior mid-cycle refresh starting in the 2024 model year, Jeep changed the factory sound bar configuration. The 18–23 JBL and Kicker kits are built for the older sound bar layout and will not line up with the factory mounting points or speaker sizes on a 2025 model.

When you say "Doesn't fit Jeep with factory Subwoofer", do you mean the subwoofer in the back of the Jeep?

Yes, exactly. That refers to the factory Alpine subwoofer enclosure located in the rear side panel of the cargo area or truck bed.

Is this compatible with a 2024 jeep gladiator?

No, the Quadratec JBL Club Series Sound Bar Speaker Upgrade for 18-23 models is not compatible with the 2024–2026 Jeep Gladiator JT.
The 2024 model year introduced a refreshed interior for the Wrangler and Gladiator, which included changes to the soundbar design and factory speaker sizes that prevent this specific "plug and play" kit from fitting.

Can the mounting plates be purchased separately without the speakers?

Unfortunately, we don't have them available separately.

The directions say to remove both speakers, the video only shows the guy removing one. Which is correct?

We recommend you follow the installation manual.

This sound bar speaker upgrade is exactly what I am looking for. When will it be available for the 2024 Wrangler?

There is, it is part # 14133-3017

Is there a replacement option for the factory premium system? One of mine sounds blown when the volume is only turned up half way.

Unfortunately, there is not a replacement that we offer that is a direct replacement for sound bar speakers if equipped with the premium sound. Sorry for the inconvenience.

What does the button switch do on the cone ?

The button adjusts the level of the output of the tweeter. When the button is out, the tweeter level matches the woofer cone perfectly. When the button is pushed in, it increases the output of the tweeter by +3db. This add a little more sizzle to the sound. The button is accessible so the customer can adjust according to their taste. Thanks for your inquiry.
