Reviews for Carnivore PW04415901 Side Steps for 20-23 Jeep Gladiator JT
Agree with (Dan H) the Photos are small & don't give you proper perspective of what they are trying to show. A couple stickers on the brackets would have cost nothing but saved a lot of time. I ended up putting the front driver passenger brackets on opposite and cost me probably 45mins more time. Word of advice test the front bracket on the passenger side my 23-Mojave had a large steel bracket that clearly interfered with the install and had I started there first I wouldn't have run into any issues.
The second thing that really pisses me off is the instructions shows Diagram 3 that front bracket K which is the driver side goes in the front well that diagram makes it look like the widest taper goes to the front and is how I installed mine which puts the Carnivore badge to the rear of my jeep. Well after viewing other pictures it looks like the carnivore badge is in the front so I have them reversed??? Great looking steps but once again try putting a little more effort in your diagrams and pictures. Also the instructions leave out when you should use a locking washer, etc. Steps quality and look a 10 but instructions were a complete fail.
Just received these steps & trying to ID the brackets! The instructions are poor! The photos of the brackets (used for ID) in 2 separate areas are contradictory. There is no mention of the ID stamping on the brackets themselves & the stampings do not match the photos. There are no proper callouts for where the hardware is to be installed. The "Kit Content List" is correct, but the installation instructions do not tell you where it is used. Photos are small & don't give you proper perspective of what they are trying to show.
For the price I expected better quality, I could have ordered an off brand with same headaches. Did arrive with some minor scratches and the directions are awful for the Gladiator. The brackets are stamped wrong and the directions are wrong. Had to swap the front driver and passenger brackets. Throw the directions away and just use common sense. Post an install video on your website.
