How does the tent fare in rain? I see that the rain fly doesn't cover the opening well. I camp in places that are usually dry, but can be hit with pretty intense thunderstorms.
The Lost Canyon NF-1 Truck Bed Tent is actually designed with a full-coverage rain fly that extends well past the door and window openings to channel water away from the entry points.
While it holds up well against standard downpours thanks to its taped seams and weather-resistant fabric, intense thunderstorms with heavy wind-driven rain can push water sideways around any tent opening. As long as the rain fly is securely staked out and tensioned properly, it will keep you dry during typical heavy storms, but in severe desert gales or intense vertical storms, you'll want to make sure all doors are zipped tight to keep moisture out of the bed.

Do you have to take the whole tonneau set up off to put the tent on?
To fit perfectly, yes, you will. Leaving it on will impact the back side of the tent's fitment.

I have a fabric roll up bed cover, do I have to take that off to use the tent or can I just roll it up to the back window?
